This is a pre-order for Kim Dyes Yarn monthly Community Matters program! Gloaming and Treats not Tricks ordered in September will be shipped late October.
available late-October
Gloaming is a slightly golden and dark black/brown colorway which pairs nicely with
Treats Not Tricks, a speckled colorway.
They will be dyed on Cannoli Worsted, a soft and squishy superwash merino yarn which is perfect for almost every design calling for a worsted yarn. Each skein is 4 oz/115 grams/210 yards.
available mid-September:
Pointillism is a moody, grown up speckled colorway-- kind of dirty beige with gold, midnight blue, dark teal, blue, charcoal, magenta speckles.
Monet’s Iris is a beautiful complementary purple with dark midnight blue and orange speckles.
They are dyed on Tartlet Sport, superwash merino sport weight yarn. Each skein is 113 grams/385 yards.
available mid-August:
August’s colorways are inspired by romantic and warm colors. Larkspur is a soft pink with speckles of wine, green, brown. It balances beautifully with Walnut, a warm rich brown tonal.
I am dyeing on Rye Sock this month. Rye Sock is a superwash merino/yak/nylon fingering weight yarn. It’s a smooth and lightweight yarn which is very soft. It’s suitable for a lot of different uses, including socks and just about any other pattern which calls for fingering weight yarn. The yak is a gray color, which gives the finished dye job a deeper hue. Each skein is 100 grams/437 yards.
These would make a beautiful two tone striped cardigan, a two colorway shawl, striped hats and fingerless mitts.
available mid-July:
This month’s color ways are a duo of colors inspired by ice cream.
Chocolate Berry Sundae is a speckled color way with neutral cream, dark chocolate brown, berry pinks, a bit of orange. Grape Popsicle is a coordinating purple tonal.
They will be dyed on Sourdough Sock, which is 80/20% superwash merino/nylon. 100 grams/400 yards.
